BOYLSTON – Residents of East Side Harbour and Parker Hart roads in Guysborough County – near Boylston – were without landline or Internet service from Bell Aliant on the evening of April 12.
A company media representative told The Journal via email April 14, “A cable providing phone and Internet service to 20 customers in the area of East Side Harbour Road was vandalized, causing a service disruption the evening of April 12. Our crews were able to restore service by the following afternoon.”
The Journal made inquiries at the Guysborough Branch of the RCMP the morning of April, 14 and was told the incident had not been reported.
The Journal asked Bell why a report of vandalism had not been filed with the RCMP and received the following comment via email, “One of our technicians will be filing a report with the RCMP today [April 14].”
The RCMP confirmed on Tuesday, April 19 that the incident had been reported April 14.
